We've all written posts that were better than others. Posts that you felt really great about when you published them and probably still feel great about today.
If you post on your blog regularly and put up a lot of content, these favorites can easily get lost in the archives – buried deeper and deeper with each passing post. New readers who come to your blog might never come across some of the posts you put your heart and soul into, the homerun post you spent hours researching and writing, the hilarious post where you cracked all your best jokes and you're still (discreetly) chuckling about today.
Along side your About page, why not have a page that showcases your best work? It's a great way for new readers to get an idea of what they'll be in store for if they come back again tomorrow. When people find your blog, they'll almost certainly hit up your About page to see who you are and what you write about, and oh look! Here's another page where we can easily peek at some of your older posts as well. And not just any posts, your best posts.
The bottom line is, don't be afraid to toot your own horn. Your readers, both new and returning, will appreciate being able to easily find the best posts you've got to offer.

This is also a great thing for SEO. I had done it in my sidebar for a while, but I think having a page for it is cleaner. I'm interested to see how that affects search rankings.
.-= Matt´s last blog ..Stu Mittleman: Burning fat (not sugar) for 1000 miles =-.
